What do you think of bearded cheese monkeys? 2002-11-06 8:47 a.m. I studied French online for three hours last night. And out of nowhere I am instant messaged by someone who has lived in France in recent years. Odd little Diaryland. And learned the rest of Thuderstruck by ac/dc. I realized, much to my chagrin though, that the best part of that song is the intro. If it would work as a cover, I'm going to have to work with the arrangement. A lot.I love to sneeze. If my day could be filled with sneezing and music, I'd be content. I also had a dream about sex that was so disturbing that I may never want to have it again. Am I spying on you, or are you spying on me? 2002-11-05 10:56 a.m. Someone in Somerville is reading my diary, and I want to know who it is. la la la la la la la la la. Tell me and I'll take you out for a beer. la la la la la la la la.Incroyable 2002-11-05 9:26 a.m. My dreams consisted of a tear stained cheek and arguing the validity of my combo subway/bus pass.I saw a girl on the bus this morning who had gone to great lengths to have Amelie's haircut (yeah, from the movie you damn pedants, just kidding, j'aime vous). And it made me sad because it was so obvious to me that if she was so miserably failing at living in a dream world, than I most certainly was as well. I don't even brush my hair, let alone style it. I mean, honestly, would you ever find a French ingénue being jostled around on the public bus at 8:05 in the morning? Going to work, no less, on time, for a drab employer in a bad gray suit? Could she even be bothered? Then I began thinking of the word Amelie. I began saying it over and over, silently mouthing it, trying to perfect the pronunciation. The key (the sophistication, if you will) lies in the "el" and I practice just that for the rest of the ride to work, while I also decide that it’s a bad idea to drink, smoke, eat, wear clothes I don’t like, get married, or go to the DMV ever again.
